Mangools Review 2026: Five Friendly SEO Tools, a Real Free Plan, and a Price That Depends on Where You Buy
Mangools is a Slovak SEO suite of five connected tools, KWFinder for keywords, SERPChecker for search results, SERPWatcher for rank tracking, LinkMiner for backlinks and SiteProfiler for domain metrics, plus AI Search Watcher, a tracker for how ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI engines mention a brand. As of Oct 27, 2026 it has a free plan without a credit card, and every paid plan includes AI Search Watcher PRO with 500 monitored prompts. The US list price starts at $37.70 a month billed yearly ($452.40 a year) for Basic, per the Internet Archive copy of the pricing page dated Oct 5, 2026 and the “From $37.70/month” line on Mangools’ own comparison pages. Two things deserve a careful look: the prices you see change with your location (the same page showed exactly half when opened from Vietnam), and Basic and Premium now update rankings weekly, not daily.

Every Mangools link in this review goes straight to mangools.com, its FAQ or its legal pages.
| Made by | CodeCat s.r.o., Bratislava, Slovakia; part of the Itrinity portfolio |
| What it is | Five SEO tools in one subscription, plus AI Search Watcher, an API and an MCP server in beta |
| Plans | Free; Basic $37.70, Premium $52.70, Agency $97.70 a month billed yearly (US list price) |
| Limits | Basic: 100 keyword lookups a day, 200 tracked keywords, weekly rank updates |
| Best for | Bloggers, freelancers and small teams who want simple keyword research and light rank tracking |
Start on the free plan, check the price for your country, and pay yearly only once the lookup limits fit.
“Our Free plan is completely free, and we don’t require a credit card to activate it.”
That line from the Mangools FAQ is the best way into the product. The free plan, stated on the KWFinder page as “5 lookups per 24 hours, 15 related and 5 competitor keywords per lookup”, is small, but it lets you see the interface people praise before you spend anything. Mangools sells itself on being easy: one login, five tools that share data, a Keyword Difficulty score from 0 to 100 and clean SERP previews. The FAQ is explicit that “we don’t sell our tools separately”, so every plan gets all five.
The price is the part to read slowly. The US list price, shown in the Internet Archive copy of the pricing page dated Oct 5, 2026, is $37.70 a month billed yearly for Basic ($452.40 a year), $52.70 for Premium ($632.40) and $97.70 for Agency ($1,172.40). That is $93.60 a year more for each plan than the $358.80, $538.80 and $1,078.80 of January 2025, and the plans now include AI Search Watcher PRO. When the same page was opened from Vietnam on Oct 27, 2026, every price was exactly half: Basic showed $18.85 a month ($226.20 a year). Mangools does not explain its country pricing on the pricing page, so the figure you see is the one that counts for you, and the US figures in this review may not be yours.
Three more things keep the score at 64. SERPWatcher now updates rankings weekly on Basic and Premium, and daily only on Agency, where the January 2025 plan table promised “Tracked keywords daily” on every plan. Independent user evidence is thin: the open signals we could use are a 4.2-star Chrome Web Store rating from 118 ratings and a few old Hacker News mentions. And Mangools’ pages disagree with each other on refunds, savings, API access and even whether a free trial still exists (section 15). On the other side, its Data Processing Addendum, updated June 8, 2026, is unusually specific about encryption, deletion and breach notice.
Five SEO tools that share one set of limits, an AI visibility tracker, and data access for scripts and AI assistants.
Mangools is one subscription, not five products. KWFinder finds keywords with search volume, CPC and a Keyword Difficulty score. SERPChecker shows the search results for a keyword in a chosen location, with link metrics from Moz and Majestic for each ranking page. SERPWatcher tracks your rankings. LinkMiner lists backlinks from Majestic’s index. SiteProfiler summarises a domain. The FAQ explains why they are sold together: “Keyword Difficulty metric is based on data from our SERPChecker module.”
Around that core sit AI Search Watcher, which checks how AI engines mention a brand and is included as PRO in every paid plan; a REST API and an MCP server in beta that let scripts and AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT run the same lookups; a free Chrome and Firefox extension; and a set of free mini tools such as a SERP simulator. The company behind it is CodeCat s.r.o. in Bratislava, Slovakia, which its contact page describes this way: “Mangools is part of Itrinity portfolio”, the same group as UptimeRobot and EmailListVerify.

A free plan came back in 2023, prices rose in 2026, and AI tracking joined every plan.
Mangools does not keep a public changelog; its product blog’s newest post on Oct 27, 2026 was a SERPWatcher guide dated Jul 19, 2025. So the record below comes from its blog and about page, Internet Archive copies of the pricing page, and CostBench, an independent price tracker.
| Date | What the record shows |
|---|---|
| Aug 2014 | First version of KWFinder; SERPWatcher follows in Jul 2017, LinkMiner in Jan 2018, SiteProfiler in Sep 2018 (about page) |
| Aug 28, 2017 | Agency plan added and Basic and Premium prices adjusted (blog) |
| May 2019 | The “forever free” plan ends in favour of a 10-day free trial (founder interview with Failory, Sep 19, 2019) |
| Feb 7, 2023 | Basic $49 a month, or $29.90 a month billed yearly ($358.80); Premium $69 or $44.90; Agency $129 or $89.90; “Start 10-day FREE trial” (Internet Archive) |
| Jun 20, 2023 | “After several years, we are bringing back the time-unlimited FREE plan.” Trials become a 10-day Free+ plan (blog) |
| Jul 4, 2023 | New Entry plan at $19.90 a month billed yearly (blog) |
| Jan 19, 2025 | Same prices as 2023; Basic lists 200 “Tracked keywords daily” (Internet Archive) |
| Jul 19, 2025 | SERPWatcher guide: “Basic and Premium plans update rankings weekly”, daily on Agency (blog) |
| Mar 4, 2026 | CostBench logs four plans from $29 to $129 a month |
| Jul 3, 2026 | CostBench logs three plans from $61 to $141 a month |
| Aug 1, 2026 | Basic $37.70, Premium $52.70, Agency $97.70 a month billed yearly, each with AI Search Watcher PRO (Internet Archive) |
| Oct 5, 2026 | Same prices, now with “API & MCP included” and a ranks update row: Weekly, Weekly, Daily (Internet Archive) |
| Oct 27, 2026 | The page shows half those prices when opened from Vietnam (section 06) |

A bootstrapped budget suite from Bratislava, sold as the easy option next to Semrush and Ahrefs.
There is no public market-share figure for SEO suites that we could use, and Mangools does not publish user numbers beyond marketing lines. The open signals are below, each labelled by who says it. Read the vendor-stated rows as claims, not measurements.
| Signal | Figure | Who says it |
|---|---|---|
| Paying customers | “More than 25,000 paying customers” | Mangools, KWFinder page, Oct 27, 2026 |
| Revenue and team | Over $250,000 a month, 8 people; “$2.7 million yearly revenue in less than 4 years” | Failory interview with the founder, Sep 19, 2019 |
| SEO extension | 50,000 users, 4.2 stars from 118 ratings | Chrome Web Store, Oct 27, 2026 |
| Owner group | Itrinity group, with UptimeRobot and EmailListVerify | Mangools contact page |
| Rivals it names | Ahrefs, Semrush, SE Ranking, Serpstat, Moz, Surfer SEO | Mangools compare page |
The positioning is consistent across Mangools’ pages: a cheaper, simpler suite for people who are not full-time SEOs. Its comparison page against Ahrefs, for example, lists a “Full-featured free plan” for Mangools and “No free plan” for Ahrefs, which is out of date: Ahrefs’ own pricing page on Oct 27, 2026 offers Ahrefs Free (section 18). The price gap is real at the entry level, and section 18 puts numbers on it.

Little open user evidence, mostly positive, and much of it about the browser extension.
Large review platforms such as G2, Capterra and Trustpilot were not part of this review. What remains open is thin. The Chrome Web Store listing for the free Mangools SEO extension shows 4.2 out of 5 from 118 ratings and 50,000 users on Oct 27, 2026. That rates the extension, not the paid suite.

| Source | Rating or signal | Independent? |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome Web Store, SEO extension | 4.2 of 5, 118 ratings, 50,000 users | Yes (store data) |
| Mangools landing page | “4.8 of 5, based on 76 reviews”, attributed to Capterra | No, vendor-stated |
| Hacker News | A few stories and comments; the newest relevant one is from 2021 | Yes, but thin |
| G2, Capterra | Not part of this review | n/a |
“it's well organized and I thought they explained the concepts well.”
About Mangools’ free Learn SEO guide, not the paid tools.
“You can use this extension with the 10-day FREE trial account.”
Mangools’ own listing text, still describing a trial that its FAQ has replaced with a free plan.
“We usually have the data with a one-month lag.”
Worth knowing before you compare search volumes with a tool that refreshes faster.
The KWFinder page quotes well-known SEO bloggers praising the interface, and the landing page shows star ratings from review sites; both are chosen by Mangools. In the 2019 interview, the founder says he first shared KWFinder on Reddit, and a Hacker News comment from Aug 25, 2014 shows the tool briefly struggling under load after it reached the front page. Beyond that, we found no open, recent body of user reviews of the paid plans, so this review leans on Mangools’ published terms and limits more than on user sentiment.
Free, then three plans that differ in lookups, tracked keywords, seats and update frequency.
The US list prices below come from the Internet Archive copy of mangools.com/plans-and-pricing dated Oct 5, 2026, the same figures as the Aug 1, 2026 copy, and match the “From $37.70/month” line on Mangools’ comparison pages on Oct 27, 2026. Monthly prices are the crossed-out yearly figure divided by 12, which CostBench’s $61 to $141 range confirms. When we opened the live page from Vietnam on Oct 27, 2026, it showed every price at exactly 50% of these. Mangools’ pricing page does not say which countries get which price, so check the figure shown to you before you pay.

Yearly billing saves 31% to 38%, and the cheapest plan is the most expensive per tracked keyword.
The FAQ says “you can save up to 35% by subscribing to the annual plan”. At the US list prices the saving is 38.2% on Basic, 34.9% on Premium and 30.7% on Agency, so the claim is roughly right on average and understated for Basic. Here is the arithmetic, before tax.
Swipe sideways to see the whole table.
| Plan | Year, billed yearly | Year, billed monthly | Saving | 3 years, yearly | Per tracked keyword a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $452.40 | $732.00 | $279.60 (38.2%) | $1,357.20 | $0.19 (200) |
| Premium | $632.40 | $972.00 | $339.60 (34.9%) | $1,897.20 | $0.075 (700) |
| Agency | $1,172.40 | $1,692.00 | $519.60 (30.7%) | $3,517.20 | $0.065 (1,500) |
Three real-world setups

Answer five questions.
Easy keyword research is the heart of it; the other four tools support it.
Each tool has its own product page with a screenshot of the app. Limits per plan are in section 06. Two data notes matter more than any feature list: search volumes usually arrive “with a one-month lag”, per the FAQ, and the backlink counts come from Majestic’s index rather than a crawler Mangools runs itself.
| Tool | What it does, per Mangools | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| KWFinder | Keyword ideas with search volume, CPC, PPC competition and Keyword Difficulty; search by keyword or by domain | Search by domain covers 17 countries |
| SERPChecker | Local results for “more than 65k locations”, SERP features and link metrics per URL | “45+” or 49 metrics, depending on the page |
| SERPWatcher | Rank tracking with a Performance Index, alerts, shareable and white-label reports, a Looker Studio connector | Weekly updates on Basic and Premium |
| LinkMiner | Backlinks with Citation Flow, Trust Flow and a site preview | Data from Majestic; “New” means found in the past 90 days |
| SiteProfiler | Domain metrics from Moz and Majestic, top content, competitors | Still lists Alexa Rank, retired in 2022 |

Every search and every click on a keyword spends a lookup.
Mangools sells limits per 24 hours, so it helps to know what counts. The FAQ says one keyword lookup is spent each time you search a keyword, domain or URL, and importing your own keyword list also counts as one. Clicking a keyword to see its live difficulty score spends a SERP lookup. Recently cached results are free. Limits reset 24 hours after your first request, not at midnight.

An AI visibility tracker that is free for 5 prompts and included in every paid plan.
AI Search Watcher checks how AI engines mention a brand. Its FAQ lists “ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral, and Llama”, and every prompt is checked twice per update because AI answers vary from run to run. Updates are weekly on every tier, with weekly or monthly email reports. The free tier has 5 prompts and 1 monitor; Pro has 500 prompts and unlimited monitors, and Pro is what each Mangools SEO plan includes.
Swipe sideways to see the whole table.
| Tier | Prompts | Monitors | Checks per prompt | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 | 1 | 2 | $0, no card |
| Pro | 500 | Unlimited | 2 | Included in Basic, Premium, Agency |
| Custom | By quote | Unlimited | By quote | Demo, price on request |

Two cautions. Mangools calls these the “eight most popular” engines, which is its own description. And a tracker shows how often a brand appears for the prompts you choose; the 500-prompt limit decides how much of your market you can watch, not how visible you are.
Your AI assistant can run Mangools lookups, and every one of them spends your quota.
Mangools has a REST API for the same data as the five tools and AI Search Watcher, and an MCP server at mcp.mangools.com that the MCP page says works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, with “Around 35 tools across all Mangools products”. You add it as a connector and sign in, or use your API token. The pricing cards say “API & MCP included”, while the FAQ still says “We also have separate API plans for KWFinder and SERPChecker (not part of our ordinary subscription plans).” If you are new to MCP, our Claude MCP and connectors guide explains what to allow.

The MCP page is candid about the risks: the server is “currently in beta”, some tools such as creating SERPWatcher trackings or AI Search Watcher monitors spend paid quota, and for the token it advises “Treat the token like a password”. Use a client that asks before each tool runs, and reset the token on the API token page if it leaks.
A detailed 2026 data processing addendum, and an older privacy policy.
Mangools’ Data Processing Addendum, Version 1.1, last updated June 8, 2026, is the most specific document it publishes. It says data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher, data at rest on Amazon Web Services with AES-256, and card numbers are handled by payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, Coinbase Commerce), not stored by Mangools. “Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for Customer accounts”. Primary processing is in AWS data centres in the European Union, with the United States as secondary.
| Topic | What Mangools commits to |
|---|---|
| Encryption | TLS 1.2+ in transit; AES-256 at rest on AWS |
| Account security | 2FA available for customers |
| Breach notice | Without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware |
| Deletion | Within 90 days of termination; backups within 180 days |
| Sub-processors | List last updated May 25, 2026; 30 days’ notice before changes |
| AI Search Watcher data | Not used for cross-customer model training |

The Privacy Policy is older (last edited April 10, 2024) and more general: it says you can ask for deletion at info@mangools.com and should “allow up to 10 days for a response”, and that some data is kept after termination for legal reasons. The DPA points to the ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II status of Amazon’s data centres; we found no certification of Mangools itself on mangools.com. Your keyword and project data is business data, not usually sensitive, but if you track client domains, the DPA is the document your clients may ask about.
Auto-renewal by default, two different refund rules, and a no-scraping clause.
The rules below come from the Terms and Conditions (last updated June 20, 2023) and the FAQs, as read on Oct 27, 2026. Section numbers are the Terms’ own.
| Topic | What Mangools says |
|---|---|
| Renewal (s. 11) | “An auto-renewal of License is automatically activated upon purchase.” Turn it off in the dashboard; the plan runs to the end of the paid period. |
| New payment refund (FAQ) | “If you are not satisfied we will issue a full refund within 48 hours of your payment. This does not apply to 2 consecutive subscriptions.” |
| Yearly renewal refund (s. 12) | “For annual subscriptions, we provide a 14 day money-back guarantee for renewal.” Up to 5 business days to process. |
| Fees and exclusions (s. 12) | “A $20 handling fee applies only to business customers or where not prohibited by law.” “Cryptocurrency and wire transfer payments are non-refundable.” |
| EU consumers (s. 12) | 14-day withdrawal right, but not once you have started using paid services with your consent. |
| Plan changes (s. 11) | “Mangools reserves the right to unilaterally change the parameters of individual plan types or to cancel a plan altogether.” |
| Bots and scripts (s. 9) | “Application program interfaces (API) is the only allowed way to get data using automatic tools.” |
| Publishing data (s. 6) | You “agree to attribute URL Rating and Mangools in any publication or distribution of said data.” |
| Changes to terms (s. 19) | Material changes take effect at least 30 days after notice. |

| Topic | One page says | Another page says | What to rely on | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refunds | 48 hours from payment (FAQ) | 14 days for yearly renewals (Terms s. 12) | Both, by case | Renewal refunds are wider |
| Trial | “10-day FREE trial account” (Chrome listing) | Free plan, no card (FAQ) | Free plan | Old trial text |
| Entry plan | Listed in the Jun 1, 2025 KWFinder guide | Not on the pricing page | Pricing page | Plan no longer sold |
| API | “API & MCP included” (pricing) | Separate API plans (FAQ) | Ask Mangools | Quota for scripts |
| Yearly saving | “up to 35%” (FAQ) | 38.2% on Basic by the US prices | The math | Small understatement |
| SERPChecker | “45+ SEO metrics” | “49 metrics” (menu) | Either | Minor |
| SERPWatcher | “our free SEO rank tracking tool” | Rank tracking limits per paid plan | Pricing page | Free tier is small |
| Alexa Rank | Still listed in SiteProfiler | Alexa.com retired May 1, 2022 | Ignore that metric | Stale data |
| Company | CodeCat s.r.o. (Terms) | itrinity, s.r.o. (Chrome listing) | Terms | Contract party |

Seven things to weigh before you pay.
- A real free plan, no card
- Five tools that share data, one login
- AI Search Watcher PRO included
- API and MCP access on paid plans
- 48-hour refund, 14 days on yearly renewals
- A specific 2026 DPA
- Price depends on your country
- Weekly rank updates below Agency
- Small daily lookup limits on Basic
- No site audit tool
- Thin independent user evidence
- Help pages out of date in places
- Auto-renewal on by default
Prices by location. The same page showed half the US list price from Vietnam on Oct 27, 2026, and Mangools does not publish its rules. Weekly tracking. Basic and Premium update rankings weekly; daily needs Agency. Lookup limits. 100 keyword lookups a day on Basic, and clicking keywords spends SERP lookups too. No site audit. There is no crawler for technical issues. Thin evidence. Large review sites were not open to us, so the user picture is small. Stale help content. Trial, Entry plan, API and Alexa references are out of date (section 15). Auto-renewal. Every plan renews until you switch it off.
Semrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking and Moz, priced on the same day.
Prices as shown on each vendor’s own pricing page on Oct 27, 2026, in US dollars before tax. We opened them from Vietnam; some vendors also vary prices by country, so check from your own location. The plans are not like-for-like: the rivals include site audits and larger databases, Mangools includes AI Search Watcher PRO.

Questions people ask before signing up or paying
Is Mangools free?
Yes, there is a free plan with no credit card. The KWFinder page states its limits as 5 lookups per 24 hours, 15 related and 5 competitor keywords per lookup. AI Search Watcher also has a free tier with 5 prompts and 1 monitor.
How much does Mangools cost in 2026?
The US list price in the Internet Archive copy of Oct 5, 2026 is Basic $37.70, Premium $52.70 and Agency $97.70 a month billed yearly ($452.40, $632.40 and $1,172.40 a year), or $61, $81 and $141 billed monthly. The live page showed exactly half those prices when opened from Vietnam on Oct 27, 2026, so check the price shown in your country.
Does Mangools still have a 10-day free trial?
Not as the main offer. The FAQ describes a free plan instead; a June 20, 2023 blog post says trials became a 10-day Free+ plan, and the MCP page still mentions Free+ accounts. The Chrome Web Store listing still says “10-day FREE trial”.
How often does SERPWatcher update rankings?
Weekly on Basic and Premium, daily on Agency, per the pricing cards and the SERPWatcher page on Oct 27, 2026.
Can I get a refund?
A full refund if you ask within 48 hours of a payment (not for two consecutive subscriptions), and a 14-day money-back guarantee on yearly renewals. Crypto and wire transfer payments are non-refundable, and business customers may pay a $20 handling fee.
Can I buy only KWFinder?
No. The FAQ says Mangools does not sell its tools separately; every plan includes all five.
Is Mangools better than Semrush or Ahrefs?
It is cheaper and simpler: Basic is $61 a month billed monthly against $139 for Semrush SEO and $129 for Ahrefs Lite. Semrush and Ahrefs offer far more data and include site audits, which Mangools does not have.

JAVIS Fit Score (64/100): an editorial composite scored out of 20 on five criteria. Price clarity 11: plan limits are clear, but prices change by country without explanation, the 2026 rise had no announcement, and refund rules differ by page. Capability 15: five connected tools, AI Search Watcher PRO, API and MCP, but small daily limits, weekly tracking below Agency and no site audit. Independent evidence 9: a 4.2-star extension rating and old interviews and comments, little open evidence on the paid plans. Terms, data and security 13: a specific 2026 DPA with encryption, 72-hour breach notice and deletion deadlines, against 2023 Terms, default auto-renewal and a no-automation clause. Cost and fit 16: a real free plan and a low entry price next to Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking, with AI tracking included. It is judgment, not a measurement.
What this review does not cover: the accuracy of Mangools’ search volumes and difficulty scores, support response times, the checkout and taxes, which countries get which prices, the US price of AI Search Watcher Pro alone, and the exact date when Basic and Premium moved from daily to weekly updates (between the Jan 19, 2025 pricing copy and the SERPWatcher guide dated Jul 19, 2025).
