InVideo AI Review 2026: A Credit-Metered Agent Editor Now, From $9 a Seat, With Strict Refund Rules
invideo AI has turned into an agentic editor for filmmakers and brands. Plans are per seat and credit-metered, and credits cover agent replies as well as generated clips: about 96 credits for a 5-second 1080p Seedance 2.5 clip. Trustpilot shows 1.8 from 1,025 reviews, the US App Store 4.55.

There are no affiliate links in this review. Every invideo link goes straight to invideo.io or its pricing page.

| Basic | $9 per seat a month; 190 credits |
| Pro | $30 per seat a month; 1,000 credits |
| Ultra | $80 per seat a month; 3,000 credits |
| Free | Limited credits, reset weekly |
invideo AI is now a credit-metered agent editor for filmmakers and brands, not the cheap template video maker its older reviews describe.
“The agentic video editor for serious creatives.” invideo.io home page, Oct 28, 2026.
The invideo.io home page now leads with Agent Two, a chat agent that works on a multitrack timeline, and with models such as Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and Nano Banana Pro. The price list is per seat per month: Basic $9 for 190 credits, Pro $30 for 1,000 credits and Ultra $80 for 3,000 credits on monthly billing, with a 50% off tag on annual billing (Basic $4, Pro $15, Ultra $40 a month shown). Credits reset monthly and do not roll over.
Credits go fast. Seedance 2.5 costs about 96 credits for a 5-second 1080p clip, so one minute is about 1,152 credits, more than a Pro month. Per invideo’s own help page, each agent reply also draws credits, not just the media it generates. That matches the loudest Trustpilot complaint.
The evidence is split. Trustpilot shows 1.8 from 1,025 reviews, polarised between 57% five-star and 32% one-star. The US App Store shows 4.55 from 27,990 ratings and Google Play (US) 3.9 from about 140K reviews. Refunds are only available within 7 days if nothing has been generated or downloaded, and the self-serve terms let invideo use your content to train its models until you delete it.
Not a hands-on test: JAVIS has not created an invideo account or spent credits. This review rests on invideo’s pricing page, help center, terms and product pages, store listings and public Trustpilot reviews, all dated.
An agent on a real timeline, 200-plus models behind one credit balance, and an MCP door for your own assistant.
invideo describes a browser editor (“a proper video editor that lives in your browser”, per its Sep 11, 2026 help article) with a left-hand agent panel. You can ask the agent to “cut this down to 60 seconds” and it edits real clips on the timeline, which you can change or take over. Agent Two has three intelligence tiers (Lite, Pro, Ultra) and features named Playbooks, Notebooks, Slate, Stock, Folders and Workflows. The vendor says Agent Two is “4x faster, at half the price”; that is marketing, not a measured result.

Large app-store reach, a very different mood on Trustpilot.
1,025 reviews, listed as Invideo Studio, Oct 28, 2026
27,990 ratings, version 4.5.63, Oct 27, 2026
about 140K reviews, 10M+ downloads
57% give five stars
Store ratings come from different platforms and audiences, so they are not comparable with each other or with Trustpilot. Trustpilot reviewers tend to be people with a billing or support issue, while in-app prompts reach heavy users; the gap is itself information. The Trustpilot page notes no recent history of asking customers for reviews and that invideo replies to 13% of negative reviews, typically within two weeks.

invideo says its tool is trusted by teams at well-known brands and “backed by the firms behind Stripe, Spotify, Flipkart, and ByteDance”; those are vendor claims that this review does not verify.
Praise goes to support and output; complaints are about credits vanishing, refunds and an agent that bills while it talks.
Independent evidence used here: Trustpilot (most recent reviews in each group on Oct 28, 2026), and the US App Store and Google Play ratings. G2 and Capterra ratings are not used. Hacker News has no usable discussion of invideo. Reviews are paraphrased.
What people like
A reviewer says a project issue was solved quickly, moving from the AI chat to a human agent.
Calls it an excellent product, easy to use with great output, and praises prompt and professional support.
Likes the software and says the results were good, but concludes the business model does not suit a YouTube channel posting three to five videos a week.
What people question
Says hours with the in-product agent used up credits with no finished video, and that the in-product agent told them chat, memory and planning also use credits (the reviewer’s account, not checked; invideo’s help page confirms only that each agent response draws credits). invideo replied asking for the session by email.
A subscriber to an older “Plus” plan with 2,000 credits says they did not last two short videos with stock footage, and that the manual editor felt clunky.
Warns to check annual plan costs because a refund took effort, and says support was mostly an AI agent loop until a human was reached.
Complains of about 50 setup questions before the editor and no way to test a sample before paying.
Says 2,500 credits were consumed with no usable result and a refund was refused.
Says credits were eaten with nothing in return after a better experience the year before, and cancelled.
A balanced reading: the credit complaint is not only anecdote. invideo’s own help page says each agent response “may be doing several things at once, reasoning through your brief, generating images, producing video clips, designing voice” and that each action draws from the balance. The agent can be set to ask before generating, and invideo says credits used per project can be capped. Both controls address the complaint, if you switch them on first.
Per-seat credit plans: $9, $30 and $80 a month on monthly billing, with 50% off tags on annual billing.

Rules worth quoting. On changes: “If you upgrade to a higher plan, any unused credits from your previous plan will be rolled over to the new plan. If you downgrade or cancel your subscription, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. After that, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan and any unused paid credits will expire.” Extra credits bought separately are valid for up to 12 months or until the paid subscription ends, whichever comes first (help article, Sep 24, 2026). Manual timeline editing, exporting and downloading cost no credits.
Refunds. The terms (effective Aug 12, 2026) say fees are non-refundable, with an exception: a refund within seven days of an initial purchase or renewal, “provided you have not used any credits or premium features”. The refunds help article (Jun 12, 2026) adds that a subscription counts as used if any video or asset has been generated or downloaded, and that used subscriptions are “not eligible for a refund under any circumstances”. Annual plans can be moved to monthly only at the end of the cycle, and the discount is then lost.

Four invented workloads: a hobbyist fits Basic, a weekly channel needs Ultra, and one minute of 1080p clips outruns Pro.
The workloads are invented, and every figure below uses invideo’s own credit counts: about 2.5 credits per Nano Banana Pro image, about 30 credits per Seedance 2.0 Fast video, and about 56, 96 and 24.5 credits per 5 seconds of Seedance 2.5 at 720p, 1080p and draft. Dollar figures use monthly list prices per seat.
| Workload | Credits needed | Plan that fits (monthly list) |
|---|---|---|
| A Hobbyist: 40 Nano Banana Pro images (100) and 3 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos (90) | 190 | Basic $9 |
| B Weekly channel: 4 videos of 60 s at Seedance 2.5 720p (4 x 12 clips x 56) | 2,688 | Ultra 3,000 credits $80 (shown $72); three takes per video is 8,064 credits, Ultra 9,000 $240 (shown $200) |
| C One ad: 30 s at 1080p (6 clips x 96), one take; three takes | 576; 1,728 | Pro 1,000 for one take; Pro 2,000 tier $60 (shown $57) for three |
| D One 60 s 1080p film (12 clips x 96) | 1,152 | More than Pro’s 1,000; Ultra $80 |
Annual billing. The cards show Basic $4, Pro $15 and Ultra $40 a month with a 50% off tag; the comparison table lists Basic at $5, and the card’s own “save $54 per seat” line implies $4.50. Pro and Ultra save $180 and $472 a year per seat, per the cards. With a 7-day, unused-only refund window, an annual plan is a bet that you will use the credits.
Match your situation to one line.
Agent Two, a multitrack editor, 200-plus models and stock from premium libraries.
Agent and editor. The browser editor offers a multitrack timeline, keyframes, colour grading, an audio mixer, effects and transitions, and exports to MP4 or to Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve projects, per the help article of Sep 11, 2026. Manual editing is free of credits.
Models. Google Play’s listing says “200+ AI models”. The pricing page names Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image models; the product menus also list Veo 3.1, Sora 2, Kling, Wan, Pixverse, Hailuo, Ideogram, Seedream, Flux and ElevenLabs. Model availability depends on plan; Basic has no Seedance 2.5.
Agent Two features. The Agent Two page describes expert agents, multi-input understanding of videos, scripts and PDFs, Playbooks, Notebooks, a Slate editor, 16 million stock clips, images and music cleared for commercial use, and workflows such as casting, storyboards and localization. These are vendor descriptions.
Mobile. A US App Store app (invideo: AI Video Editor, by Invideo Inc., version 4.5.63 on Oct 27, 2026) and an Android app exist.
A cautious first week on the free plan.

Credit burn, refund rules, support loops and a product that has changed shape.
invideo’s help page says every agent response draws credits based on the models and work involved.
Monthly credits expire; only separately bought credits last up to 12 months.
Generate or download once and the 7-day refund is gone.
Two products, one name. A company reply on Trustpilot says studio.invideo and invideo.ai are different platforms with different subscriptions. Older reviews and guides, and the Trustpilot listing “Invideo Studio”, may describe the earlier product; plan names such as “Plus” in recent reviews no longer appear on the pricing page.
Support. Reviews describe an AI chat loop before a human responds, and invideo replies to 13% of negative Trustpilot reviews. Positive reviews, by contrast, often praise a named human agent.
Pricing moves. The terms say prices can change at the next renewal after reasonable notice, and the help page says invideo reserves the right to update credit costs at any time without prior notice.
invideo MCP lets your own assistant edit the timeline.
invideo’s MCP server (https://mcp.invideo.io/mcp) works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients. In Claude, add a custom web connector under Customize, then Connectors, sign in to invideo and enable it per conversation (help article, updated in Oct 2026). The assistant edits a live timeline you can open in the browser. Generating images, video and audio through MCP uses invideo credits, manual editing is free, and the assistant’s own plan requirements still apply. JAVIS’s Claude MCP and connectors guide explains the connector model.

Self-serve terms permit model training on your content; the enterprise page promises none.
The terms (effective Aug 12, 2026) define User Data as User Content, inputs, Outputs and Designs, “including any personal data contained within them”, and state: “Invideo may use your User Data to train, fine-tune or otherwise adjust the parameters of its artificial intelligence and machine-learning models.” You can stop this by deleting the data or closing your account, which does not affect anything already developed. The paragraph does not apply under a separate written agreement. The Agent Two page, by contrast, says its enterprise offer has “no model training on your data”, with SOC 2 and GDPR compliance claimed.
Outputs: the terms grant you a perpetual licence to use and commercialise generated outputs, but no exclusivity over licensed content or AI-generated variants of it. Disputes for US, Canada and Mexico users are governed by Delaware law with a 30-day informal resolution step. The home page claims SOC 2, GDPR and “ISO aligned”; these are vendor statements, and the terms link a subprocessor list at trust.invideo.io.

Invideo Inc. for US users; email and chat support; refund terms that are strict.
Support is by email (support@invideo.io) and an in-product chat; the help center covers plans, MCP, agents and the editor. The terms name Invideo Inc. for US, Canada and Mexico users. Material changes to fees or refund policy require 30 days notice by email and in-product notification, and paid-plan users must accept material changes. The refunds article says approved refunds arrive in 5 to 10 business days and that Apple App Store purchases are refunded through Apple.
Creatives who want an agent on a timeline and will manage credits like a budget.
Filmmakers, ad teams and agencies who edit footage, want an agent to do rough cuts, and already budget for generation; people who connect their own assistant through MCP.
People who want predictable monthly video output, weekly channel publishers, anyone who needs easy refunds, and teams with strict data-training rules and no enterprise agreement.
Eight things to check before paying.
One minute of 1080p Seedance 2.5 is 1,152 credits against 1,000 on Pro.
Per invideo’s help page.
Plan credits reset monthly.
7 days and only if unused.
Self-serve terms allow model training on User Data.
50% off tags and a $72 versus $80 Ultra card.
Trustpilot 1.8, App Store US 4.55, Google Play US 3.9.
studio.invideo and invideo.ai carry separate subscriptions.
Not like-for-like: every tool meters credits differently. Entry plans read on Oct 28, 2026.
| Tool | Entry paid plan, monthly | Billed annually, per month | What the plan meters |
|---|---|---|---|
| invideo Basic | $9 per seat | Shown as $4 with a 50% off tag | 190 credits per seat |
| Pictory Starter (no JAVIS review yet) | $29 | $25 | 2,000 credits and up to 30 mins a month |
| HeyGen Creator | $29 | $24 | Monthly credits; free plan has 3 videos a month |
| Runway Standard | $15 | $12 | 625 credits = 52 s of Gen-4.5 |
